Basic Information

This is a job description for Renee Harger. Renee works shifts at the front desk, hardware donations, printers, and spanish build and spanish tours.

Front Desk

• Greet visitors
• Answer a multi-line phone, check & relay messages to appropriate places
• Accept & process donations
• Perform data entry
• Use a cash register
• Process till at the end of the day
• Schedule volunteer shifts accurately
• Make reminder calls to volunteers for upcoming classes
• Prioritize lobby visitors appropriately
• Print volunteer handouts daily
• Maintain a steady stream of available coffee for volunteers
• Take on additional daily tasks at Front Desk as necessary

Printers

• Learn printer testing, repair, and disassembly
• Teach volunteers how to safely disassemble printers for recycling
• Communicate with production staff in order to adapt to Free Geek’s changing needs and improve processes in the Printer area

Hardware Donations

• Manage flow of gizmos through the hardware donations receiving area
• Teach Adoption volunteers basic intake procedures
• Welcome donors and help them unload their hardware donations
• Ensure that Hardware Donations is well integrated with the rest of the organization

Spanish Build and Tours

• Recruitment of bilingual volunteer interns
• Help to design, develop, implement, maintain and evaluate a Spanish-language version of the Build program
• Guide the weekly tour/volunteer orientation in Spanish
• Teach the Adoption class in Spanish as-needed
• Help with the planning and implementation of Spanish language classes

Note:

This is a permanent position at Free Geek. Wages are $11.55/hours. Benefits for this position include health insurance and 1 week PTO/year.
