Please be safe at Free Geek. We ask/require that volunteers wear Personal Protective Equipment while working at Free Geek. Different areas have different requirements.

Receiving, Prebuild, Hardware Testing

Instructor:

  • show volunteer gloves and safety glasses, volunteers are encouraged to wear them for regular receiving/evaluation/testing work. PPE are required for all recycling tasks!
  • point out First Aid Kits, ask that volunteers inform staff of ALL injuries,
  • check out tool kit, and ask volunteer to inform you of any issues with tools (worn, broken, missing)
  • ask volunteers if they will need any help lifting or moving gizmos, make sure they know who to ask for help
