Free Geek can not operate without crucial supplies. The following list covers all the most frequently used supplies.

General Supplies

Sources of supplies

The main source of most frequently used supplies is listed below. Purchasing of supplies can't be based solely on the "cheapest" price. We must, first, adhere to our mission of efficient e-waste. This means bio-degradable as well as those products made from recycled materials. Where ever possible, sales should be utilized as well as "bulk" purchasing if it is cost efficient. John has a contact through his Bulk Buying that he can get paper through.

  • Paper Towels: Portland Paper and Supply , $100 minimum order for pickup, ($150 minimum order for free delivery), 503-235-2355, pick up at 307 SE Washington Street. We normally order 6 cases with 6 rolls in each case and the total Jan 15, 2013 was $284.94.

  • We get them in batches of 16. They charge our card automatically and email an invoice. I try to order them once we're down to a stock of 4.


The Action Committee oversees many areas which includes supplies. Any large supply purchase must be reviewed and approved by this committee.
