The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. -Carl Sagan [Reflecting on a picture of our Earth from Voyager 1 in 1990]

After reading that blurb, you can probably guess quite a bit about me, but what you probably can't guess, is anything useful. Perhaps I should fill you in?

I have not yet spent much time with FreeGeek, but I've enjoyed every minute of it. It is my goal, while at FreeGeek, to explain problems and solutions in a way that everyone can understand. If you need something explained more simply, feel free to let me know and I'll do my best to help. I'm not primarily a user of Linux, but I've grown to love it while working here and every day I see how superior it is to the... alternatives.

While not at FreeGeek, you can find me obsessing over learning to build and maintain networks in pursuit of my CCNA certification (Cisco), or perhaps racing down Mt. Tabor on my longboard. Though I spend quite a bit of time in your wonderful City of Portland, I am not so fortunate as to live there. I hail from the North; from a small town of Casinos but no stoplights.

Should you need to contact me, I'm available at FreeGeek most every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, or you can shoot me an email.
