I recently watched the DVD of The Tailor of Panama since in the 1980s I spent some time in Panama, a whole country invented by Teddy Roosevelt. On the commentary director John Boorman noted that when George Bush I invaded the country, it was probably the first time in history that one country invaded one that they already occupied.
