To Do
1 bluetooth testing
2 check out mac mini and DVI monitor and see about sending video card parameters to bootloader from Jaunty desktop disk install
3 adding items to network install (freegeek-extras-ppc)and putting it under version control
batterytest.sh xorg.conf.emc.ati xorg.conf.emac.nv add xres=1024 yres=768 to /etc/usplash.conf as a default and let installer modify it manually during QC as needed. We would need to ensure that sudo update-initramfs -u is run after the change is made add experience ubuntu.ogg file (or similar) to home directory to facilitate testing for choppy video vice playing a video DVD.
4 Special instructions per model:
iLamp G4 - wireless card often not picked up by printme - should add iwreless installed & tested to Notes
iBook G4/MacBook G4 - remember to enter Linux nosplash vga=1 at second boot prompt after install to prevent hanging with blank screen. Make sure you modify usplash.conf file to reflect screen resolution. You should NOT normally need to modify the yaboot.conf file.
iMac G5/PowerMac G5 - When doing network installation, remember to enter jaunty64 at second boot prompt to prevent white screen memory error. Many times the wireless won't work with Ubuntu but does work with Mac OSX.
iMac G4/G5 with 20" LCD screens - you will see a 1/4" screen roll from Right to Left. This is unique to Ubuntu.
MacMini - Will boot to a blank screen after installation when using DVI monitor connection. Works fine with VGA monitor connection. Have fixed this in the past by installing from a live CD and passing video parameters with installation command.
5. Bundles to send to store - external speakers with iLamps, LCD displays with PowerMac G4/G5s.
