- Make sure the computer turned off.
- Check the Card over for blown caps. If blown caps are found recycle.
- Place The Video Card into the appropriate AGP, PCI, or PCIe slot on the motherboard.
- Attach the monitor cable to the video card and turn the computer on. If required ask for an adapter.
- Let the program run until it tells you what the card is.
- Record what the screen says on a half label. Make sure to include the Vendor, Model, and Memory. It should say something like: (Voodoo Banshee 16 MB) or (RIVA TNT 16384 KB) or (Nvidia gf2 gts nv11 32 MB) or (Radeon 7000 R100 32 MB). This Label is to be placed on the Video Card.
