Difference between revisions of "Yellow Light Instructions"

Do not pull anything unless these instructions say to pull it. This includes ribbon cables.

Hard drives should all have been removed by now. Please be certain that they have been.

Remember to leave all rails and drive sleds in case!

Remove the following components:

High Speed or Ultra Speed CD RW
- They must have a standard 5.25" rectangular faceplate and not be laptop-sized.
- A drive is only High Speed or Ultra Speed if it literally says "High Speed" or "Ultra Speed" to the right of the "Compact Disc" label.

DVD Drive
- They must have a standard 5.25" rectangular faceplate and not be laptop-sized.
Front side card readers, only if it includes a cable
The following types of memory
- SDRAM
- RAMBUS
- DDR
- SODIMMS
The following cards
- Any PCI cards
- Any PCI-e cards
- Any AGP cards
Power supplies
- (unless they are very difficult to remove)
Button batteries
3.5 inch face plates
5.25 inch curved DELL face plates (found in DELL systems only)
Half height card slot covers
Anything on the "Also Pull" list on the whiteboard.
