GEEK PROM is a annual spring fundraiser with a high school prom theme. It is scheduled for Friday, April 1st! Outreach committee oversees this event. The theme this year is: Geek Prom 2005:

  • Kissed by a Daemon
  • No Chaperones
  • Kissed by a Hard Drive
  • Flannel Glam

To Do

  • Talk to Katrina - Oso
  • Arrange food - Oso, Meghan
  • Find coordinators
  • Create Press Release(s) (Oso)
    • Mercury
    • WW
    • Kboo
    • PDX alliance? Neighborhood papers? How wide do we wanna go?
    • Getting the press releases out - Eliza
  • Create flier - Oso (possibly on back of Earth Day Love Party flier)
  • Create web page [1] (Oso)
  • Find partner organization - probably City Repair/Earth Day (Oso)
  • OLCC Permit - Liane
  • Talk to MNR - Oso

Coordinators

Get caterer to prep in exchange for FreekBox, pay for ingredients = $200

Will earn ~$2500 for 250 tickets System: pre-pay $10, $12 at door; available at store and front desk and CR office

Pose with your favorite gizmo/museum item!

  • Raffle/Door prizes/Prizes for games
  • Dresses from Women's temple
  • Alcohol Sales: 2 kegs plus wine = $250

Permit = $50 Will earn ~$1750

  • City Repair can help us and earn .5 of door and possibly .33 of drinks if they help find staff for the bar
  • This can be the spring PAWC social? Can there be a PAWC discount price for tickets?
