Freebox Internet Support
We try our best to work with as many internet providers possible. Due to restrictions on the hardware that some ISPs use we are not able to currently support all mobile (WiMax/4G) providers. We are always willing to test new hardware and services, if you know of a service or device we did not mention here please let us know.
Supported Providers
These Internet providers will work with linux without any configuration. Just plug in and go.
- Comcast HighSpeed Internet
- Qwest DSL
- Verizon FIOS
- Verizon DSL
- Clear [HOME SERVICE ONLY]
- Spirit One DSL
- Most other DSL services
Providers that require SOME configuration or system upgrades
- Any dial up services
[requires a modem and installation of additional software]
- Cricket Wireless
[Requires Ubuntu 9.04 or higher. Some devices "just work", but others require additional configuration and software]
- Sprint Wireless
[Requires Ubuntu 9.10 or higher]
Providers that DO NOT currently work or are untested
- Clear Mobile service
- (Clear's USB devices are not currently supported and they do not currently allow use of 3rd party devices)
- Comcast Mobile Service
