Spanish Build Work
Some of the work for the Spanish Build coordinators
- Make Reminder Calls (Friday for Saturday and Saturday for Tuesday for PreBuild) call interns too!
- Recruit new instructors (bilingual), and participants (Spanish-speaking)
- Check in with Spanish Build instructors every week
- Think of places to extend outreach
- Conduct outreach for new participants as often as possible
- Work with Public Relations for outreach opportunities
- Plan and facilitate Spanish Build instructor meetings every 1-2 months
- Plan and facilitate Spanish Build coordinator meetings (staff) every 1-2 months
- Coordinate the Spanish Build program with the rest of the organization (check in with Build and PreBuild)
- Monitor the schedule to make sure the Spanish PreBuild and Build spaces are being assigned to Spanish Build participants
- Make sure the Spanish tour on Saturdays has a tour guide
- Coordinate Spanish classes (find teachers, room use, help plan curriculum, set date/time and advertise)
- Maintain written materials (updates, changes, better formats for written materials used in PreBuild and Build) for Spanish Build
- Coordinate basic education classes for staff (Spanish, diversity)
- See that the Spanish Build documents are printed and available at the Front Desk, PreBuild, Build
