This document is meant to give guidance to the store folks in what laptop drives they can and can not take to the store. Below is the list of minimum amount of each drives that should be left for laptop build.
2.5" SATA Drives
NO 2.5" SATA DRIVES TO THRIFT STORE
- Laptops needs every one they can get their hands on!
2.5" IDE Drives
- ≥6 GB - ≤30 GB
- Recycle
- 40 GB
- recycle
- 60 GB
- Do not take to the store
- 80 GB
- Do not take to the store
- 100 GB
- Do not take any of these to the store
- 120 GB
- Do not take any of these to the store
- >120 GB
- Can be taken by store as needed.
Other Notes
- Recycle all thicker than normal laptop hard drives (unless they're SATA)
