Door Hangers- using keyboard keys, mat board, magazines,and misc junk to glue to it.

Playdough- receipe- 1 cup flour, 2 Tbl vegie oil, 1/2 cup salt, 2 Tbl cream of tartar, 1 cup warm water, 1-3oz pkg jello.

Along with the materials listed for the activities, the kids area needs:
combine all ingr and cook over med heat til thickens and pulls away from sides of pan & becomes dull (burns easily so no high heat and keep stiring) mold and kneed until cool ecnough to touch.  Store in plastic bag or container.

  • Sidewalk chalk
  • 1 - 3 extension cords
  • 1 - 3 power strips
  • 1 - 2 6' tables
  • 3 -5 chairs

Mouse ball fishing

A fun and geeky sport that can be competitive or cooperative.

Materials (bold designates something inside Free Geek):

  • Kiddie pool
  • Bucket of mouse balls
  • 5 Sticks
  • 10' String
  • 5 simple hard drive magnets
  • 5 small plastic containers, less than 6" in diameter

Procedure:

  1. Cut string to be 1 - 2 ft.
  2. Lace string through hard drive magnet holes and tie a knot
  3. Attach the other end of the string to a stick
  4. Repeat for all pieces of string, hard drive magnets, and sticks
  5. Optional: Decorate mouse balls
  6. Dump mouse balls into kiddie pool
  7. Hold the fishing poles with hard drive magnet into the pool
  8. Catch mouse balls and collect them in plastic containers!

Rock Painting

  • Paint
  • Rocks
  • Paper

Procedure:

  1. Select a rock
  2. Paint it color by color as not to mix paint
  3. Write names on paper to designate whose rock is whose
  4. Set rock on paper to dry

Face Painting

Procedure:

  1. Find a kid
  2. Paint their face
