Salary/Benefits
  • Salary is $11.55 per hour.
  • 1 week paid time off per year (combined vacation and sick time, based on average hours worked).
  • Health care, dental, and vision plan.
Work Hours
  • 30 hours per week
  • Four to five days per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30am to 7:30pm, some evening or morning meetings, with some flexibility

The Warehouse Support Staff is an ongoing non-collective staff position necessary for the successful operation of Free Geek. This job's main responsibility is the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including volunteer training and prioritizing of material flow.

Responsibilities

  • Share responsibility of warehouse layout and traffic flow.
  • Maintain and supervise recycling area.
  • Prioritize recycling tasks.
  • Train volunteers to perform required recycling tasks and provide ongoing support for volunteers.
  • Train volunteers in safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with Receiving regarding donation flow.
  • Share responsibility for managing gaylord storage area.
  • Coordinate with Recycling Coordinators regarding tool needs, repair, maintenance, supplies.
  • Share forklift driving responsibility (we'll provide training).

Required Skills

  • Volunteer coordination.
  • Basic computer knowledge, use of web browser, email and word processor, database and spreadsheet.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Pallet jack operation.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
