Goals

To help "professionalize" the recycling area, inspiring volunteers to be more invested in the recycling program. Provide consistant training for first time volunteers.

Training Outline

  • Safety basics
    • Eye protection: must be worn at all times while the recycling area.
    • Gloves: should be worn at all times when working in recycling area.
    • First aid kits: small kit attached to wall behind the recycling workbench.
    • Fire extinguisher: location

Safety and Tool Kits

Safety First

  • All volunteers in recycling need to wear eye protection and gloves.
  • All volunteers need to be trained on safe practices, inluding eye protection and gloves.
  • Each volunteer will receive a "kit" at the beginning of their shift, and return it at the end of their shift.

Program Structure

Basic Housekeeping Tasks
