How To Test Wireless Cards
- Grab a wireless card.
- Seat the card into an open PCI slot on the card test motherboard.
- Boot the board up into ubuntu.
- Look at the network connections at the top right of the screen.
- If it shows the network "freegeek then try to get online, if you are able to get online, Skip to step 7.
- Click System, Administration, Hardware Drivers. If it shows a
driver for that card, install it.
- If it shows the network "freegeek" then go to firefox and try to get onto our
website. To be sure you are connected wirelessly, unplug the ethernet cable.
- If the card works, mark it ok and send it to the store. If not recycle it.
