Standardized Document Flow
This is an attempt to make some standard procedure out of the chaos of document collection. It can start out with tracing the steps of documents and finding their proper home.
Example I, A day or two in the life of a bill:
- Bill from Arrow Sanitary Service arrives in mail box.
- Arrow bill goes into Richard's mail box at the Front Desk or his Inbox in the Monkey House.
- Arrow bill gets paid and entered into books, then it is initialed.
- Arrow bill is placed in Richard's To be Filed box.
- Arrow bill is filed in a manila folder in the stand up file along the wall off the Monkey House.
- Filed in alphabetical order by company name.
- Filed in numerical order with the most recent bill at the front.
Things to remember:
Edit Receiving and Paying Bills to match the documentation flow as it evolves.
