Ahhh Coffee... It's the beverage that not only quenches the thirst of the soul, but also has a unique ability to stain teeth of even the most dedicated oral hygienist.

None the less it's the beverage of choice for our hard working volunteers.

This is the short explanation of how to make [[the World's most Mediocre Church Lady Coffee. ]]

It's important to fellow these directions carefully because Free Geek is secretly under the control of robots. This might seem silly and outlandish, however it is a very serious matter.

If you want to keep the volunteers from rebelling against The Robot Super Cooperative it is imperative that coffee is available consistently throughout the day.

  1. Go to the filing cabinet at the volunteer desk. Open the second drawer from the bottom and remove the large bag of peoples coffee and the white & silver coffee grinder.
  2. Take the coffee and grinder to the coffee house and place it on the counter.
  3. If your like me, you probably tried the light switch. Maybe you even felt around for the pull string. But these were both wrong. The light switch is a black switch near the outlet.
  4. Leave the coffee and grinder on the counter grab the silver spaceship like coffee maker and walk it to the big kitchen.
  5. Take the Silver Space Shuttle looking Coffee Maker to the kitchen and fill it with fresh cold water to just below the 60 cup line. (If you put more water than the recommended dose into the silver spaceship it will bubble over onto the counter.) And the church laddies in heaven will shake their fingers at you piously.
  6. Ok now that you have a coffee urn full of cold water you need to grind up the beans. (This is important.... Whole beans make for bad coffee.) Thats a rookie mistake.
  7. Carefully pour the beans into the White coffee grinder...Only fill it to the top of the silver lining,... (Do this five times).... Stopping to pour each batch into the silver brew basket.
  8. Once the Brew Basket is full, place the cover plate over the beans.
  9. Then place the stem into the hole in the bottom of the urn.
  10. Place the brew Basket on the stem.
  11. Cover the Space Shuttle with the lid to avoid spillage during the brew off.
  12. Plug the shuttle into the power source.
  13. In about an hour you will have some damn fine Mediocre Church Lady Coffee:)
  14. Now it's time to prep the second urn. The plastic urn from the fifties.
  15. remove basket & stem
  16. fill urn with COLD water to 42 cup line inside
  17. place stem into hole in bottom of urn
  18. use 3.5 grinders worth of ground coffee
  19. spread grounds evenly in basket & place on stem, none can fall into stem!
  20. twist & lock lid onto urn - see arrows on lid.
  21. plug in & wait - approx. 40 minutes until done
  22. CAREFULLY remove basket (HOT!!) when done percolating to prevent bitter flavor
  • replace & secure lid

Note:

  • DO NOT move urn when full, warm or in use
  • clean urn with soap & water 1x per week minimum
  • clean with vinegar & water mixture every 2 weeks ( 1 quart water & 1 quart white vinegar)
