Machines

The credit card processing machine.

As of mid-2009, we now use the Verifone NURIT 8400.

To replace paper

Pull up on the blue flap just above where the paper comes out. This will unlatch the cover for the paper; the roll sits in the bottom of the trough with the paper coming under the roll toward you. Make sure the end of the paper comes through the opening when you close it.

Supplies

The Verifone NURIT 8400 uses thermal tape, NOT carbon copy paper. Be sure to purchase the proper size (width: 2 1/4 inch & length: 115 ft) so it fits into the machine.

MK previously ordered a box from http://www.merchantequip.com by searching "thermal paper for NURIT 8400" on google.

Merchant Review

  • Pros: cheap, fast delivery; one of few shops online providing this product; rolls work fine.
  • Cons: no packing slip with package; all rolls marked up due to travel; no return info or invoice enclosed in package

MK ordered from http://www.thermalpaperdirect.com on 12.3.09 and the cost is cheap! We order the: Thermal Paper Roll - 2 1/4" x 50' (For Nurit 8000) Model#: 22550. This is a box of 50 rolls for under $40.

Merchant Review

  • Pros: even cheaper, bigger quantity, thermal tape specific provider, better packaging, arrived in better shape than other shipper, still a good deal
  • Cons: smaller rolls
