Predictions for the future of Free Geek. What will be happening in a few years time?

The energy footprint of a system will be a criteria for which systems we keep
There are already web pages that rate how much energy it takes to run a given computer model. Sometime in the next few years we will be looking at these kinds of ratings in addition to our current (mostly market driven) criteria to decide if we are keeping or recycling a system. The same may be true of other gizmos. RfS 13:12, 15 August 2007 (PDT)
A new building
Free Geek will continue to rent the 15,000 square feet that it currently rents. In the next 3 to 5 years we will have raised money through fund drives and securing grants so that we can purchase our own building. In the mean time Free Geek modularize our process in preparation in changes in technology, making it easer to move (if we decide to do that). Matteo 09:19, 22 August 2007 (PDT)
