Free Geek Stakeholders

Who are the stakeholders in Free Geek? A stakeholder is any person, group, or organization ...

  • that can place a claim on Free Geek's attention, resources, or output
  • or that is affected by that output

Why? Having a list of stakeholders is useful when assessing our mission, our programs, our strengths, and weaknesses, etc. If we are able to put ourselves in our stakeholders' shoes, we can broaden our understanding of what a successful Free Geek looks like.

Notes:

  • Some stakeholders seem to be "key stakeholders". This can be a bit of a judgment call, and can change over time, depending on our strategy.
  • The line between internal and external stakeholders can be fuzzy.
  • Some people or groups fall into more than one category.
  • All lists of stakeholders everywhere are incomplete. This one is no different. If a stakeholder is missing (especially a key stakeholder) add it.
