Beginning a Shift
- Look over testing machines on the shelves; organize and stash them in the appropriate places,
- Determine laptop intake and organize piles of Evals and Builds,
- Stock up on wiped HDDs.
During a Shift
- Image wiped HDDs,
- Sort incoming laptops, power supplies & accessories,
- Work through Recycler's box as necessary,
- Stock labels/documentation as necessary,
- Sort/cull backstock as necessary:
- RAM,
- Parts machines,
- Optical drives.
- Test & sort incoming PCMCIA cards,
- Cart recycling back to the warehouse:
- Tally Covered vs. Uncovered laptops,
- Prepare batteries.
Ending a Shift
- Organize and straighten the work area,
- Lock up laptops that are not being tested,
- If AM, take unwiped HDDs over to Advanced Testing,
- If PM, stash unwiped HDDs in the TARDIS.
