This page is for folks who admin the phone system. This might include stuff like changing the greetings, adding mailboxen, adding extensions, updating documentation on the wiki and on the phones themselves, etc.

Adding extensions

  • Hook 'em up on the phone block (this may require some detective work)
  • Test and install phones
  • Label phones with extension

Misc

  • Collect phones
  • Clean phones
  • Update paper extension lists on all phones
  • Change extension buttons on front desk phones if needed
  • Install appropriate button covers
  • Plug phones into their appropriate spots
