Responsibilities
- Learn printer testing and repair
- Evaluate and prepare printers for reuse and research current value of equipment for resale (work with sales coordinators)
- Evaluate inkjet and laser printers for reuse
- Salvage inkjet cartridges and laser printer toner cartridges for reuse/resale.
- Communicate with other Free Geek staff
- Document! Document! Document!

- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work in an informal, friendly environment with a diverse staff
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Aptitude for learning and applying detailed technical knowledge
- Basic computer knowledge, use of web browser, email and work processor, database, and spreadsheet
- Ability to multi-task
- Patient and courteous with the public
- Detailed knowledge of printer repair and maintenance
- Working knowledge of electronics
- Curious about printers, and not afraid to ask questions

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under stress and maintain a positive attitude in a relatively chaotic setting. The candidate will not be afraid to ask questions, but will be able to work on projects with minimal supervision. The candidate will be able to remain flexible as Free Geek grows and changes.
