Intro

How will Receiving change over the next 3-5 years so that Free Geek can better fulfill its mission and live up to its principles?

State of the program

Receiving is where almost all hardware donations come in the door on a day to day basis

Current and past issues

Receiving is always a high stress area as many things are usually all happening at once. We have increased our coverage over the years to take stress off staff members and volunteers and streamlined our intake procedures so that items get processed more efficiently. A big issue with receiving is that there is a customer service issue that really should not be overlooked. The better customer service that we can give to donors as they come to Free Geek, the greater chance we will have that they will return as well as give positive feedback about us to their social network.

Trends and predictions

We may want to add even more coverage to Receiving in the future so that there is always a person to give individual treatment to doners.

We will want to bring receiving out in to the world at large in the form of a truck.
