Since we won't be using Automatix by the end of october, this page should change to reflect that. The instructions should be pretty darn easy to understand as well: could this be done in synaptic? Then the page could simply list off package names. Otherwise, we'll need to show a bit of a tutorial in how to change documents using a text editor. Shawn 18:35, 12 October 2007 (PDT)

The instructions no longer use Automatix. I will look at changing to Synaptic, but they work as posted as of this date. -- MW 18:53, 22 January 2008 (PST)

Auto installer script (easiest)=

- WORKS AGAIN YAY! (at least in 10.04)

- Open a terminal Applications --> Accessories--> terminal and type or paste the following two lines one at a time.

- wget http://freegeek.errtech.com/restricted-installer.sh

- sh restricted-installer.sh

- Or: download the file by clicking on the link [1] (it might be good to save it to your desktop other wise find it by going to Places_>downloads or wherever when its finished downloading . Then right click on the file and chose properties. Click on the permissions tag and check the the execute option. (This allows the file to run as a program). Execute-Permissions.png.

- Now double click on the file and chose 'Run in Terminal'. You can delete the file when done.
