Talk:Recycling Laptops

So in MacBuild we recycle obsolete laptops, too. What I was told when I asked about how to recycle them (I don't remember who told me...Jeff maybe?) was:

• Remove display, hd, battery.
• Bag battery and put it in a mailer box.
• Give the hard drive to Advanced Testing or Advanced Recycling.
• Put the display in the "Laptop Tops" gaylord in the corner outside the black hole.
• Put everything else in the laptop "Everything Else" gaylord near the Monitor Test station.

Is this wrong, or are there different rules for old Apple laptops, or is the laptop process evolving in general and MacBuild should pay attention, too? -- tonyr Thu 26jul07 11:42 PDT
