Epson printers

Hold down the load/eject button and press the power button on the printer. Continue holding down the load/eject button until the power light starts to flash, and then release the button. The printer should print a test page.


HP

LaserJet 4

Press the printer's ON LINE button to take the printer offline. Press the Control Panel MENU button until TEST MENU appears on the display. Press ITEM until SELF TEST appears on the display. Press ENTER. The Self-Test will print. Press ON LINE to return the printer to the online state.

Deskjet

To print a self-test page, with the printer turned on, hold the Resume button down for about 5 seconds and then release the Resume button.
