Projects

General

  • Map Free Geek-wide gizmo flow and identify bottlenecks and ways to improve communication

  • Hardware Spec Project working group
    • re-evaluating how we look at hardware specs in the post-GHz Race era of hardware
    • identifying useful hardware ID proxies to improve relevance, accuracy, and educational value of hardware ID/system eval process

Hardware Testing

  • Map gizmo flow to and from Hardware Testing
  • Update labels and documentation and improve usability

  • Graphics Card Testing
    • Develop more accurate testing regime that more correctly identifies GPU hardware
    • Update graphics card reference documentation
    • Train instructors and volunteers on new procedures

A/V

  • Develop A/V Testing program:
    • Create testing tools, procedures, and documentation
    • Work with Sales Coordinator to manage A/V gizmo flow between sales areas


Server Build

  • Updating labels and documentation for better usability
  • Server Catalog - establishing more consistent system for labeling, cataloging, and pricing built servers to ease sales/disbursement process
  • Maybe update, clarify, and codify server eval and triage process

  • Developed a system for pricing graphics cards and incorporated into Thrift Store pricing system
  • Mapped gizmo flow to the Thrift Store - what comes from where and how
